Past Highlights:

Monthly member meetings with speakers ranging from... electoral data mining experts, to state-wide conservative organization leaders, boots-on-the ground local election reports and even political consultants.
Independence Day Parade each year that winds through Montclair (2023 - 2026), replete with a float and several vehicles
Constitution Day Celebrations each year in September, featuring keynote speakers: NJ policy thought leader Regina Egea (2025),
conservative activist and lobbyist Grover Norquist (2024), and U.S. Constitution authority, J. R. Carmen (2023).
Fundraising Lunch events featuring Senator Michael Testa Jr. (2024) as well as NJ Sen. Kristen Corrado and NJ Sen. Holly Schepisi (2023)
Hugely successful “County Committee” educational seminars that inspired and equipped 13 people to run for their town’s County Committee. Several were elected in June 2024 and are now serving.
Hats N Horses, a day at the races meeting up with other Republican Women clubs from around NJ every August

A Bit of History

The original Essex County club held its inaugural luncheon at Newark’s Robert Treat Hotel in 1921. Our history includes predecessor groups and personalities such as the Essex County Colored Women’s Republican Club and Suffragist Lucy Stone. The Essex County NJ Republican Women was re-founded in September, 2017 (after a hiatus of 30 years) with fifteen members from diverse parts of Essex County. These days, we actively network with other conservative or Republican groups, ranging from the Newark Freedom Caucus to the Livingston High School Republicans and of course Republican Women clubs from all around New Jersey.
