Membership

Welcome! We are thrilled you are interested in joining our club. We are dedicated to empowering Republican women of all ages and backgrounds. We are working to affect crucial issues in our local communities, state and nation. Along the way, we also learn a lot while building fabulous relationships. The Essex County NJ Republican Women is a local affiliate of the NJ Federation of Republican Women (NJFRW). Becoming a part of our club, you automatically become a member of both the NJFRW and the National Federation of Republican Women.

 Why should you join?

 

  • Make your voice stronger in the issues important to women.
  • Members support the integrity of the U.S. Constitution, participate in educational programming, and support the candidacies of Republicans for elective office.
  • Become educated and stay informed on issues through our programs, lectures and newsletters.
  • A full list of benefits are on the NFRW website, but one of the best rewards not on that list: experiencing the camaraderie and support of local colleagues.

Different Levels of Club Membership


As long as you are a registered Republican, your local voting district need not be the same as the local club where you become a member of this organization.  We encourage everyone to increase their civic engagement, and often provide education and tools useful across New Jersey.

Primary Member

 

Any registered Republican woman can be a Primary Member of ECNJRW whether you live in Essex County or not.  It includes full participation in the club, meaning voting and running for ECNJRW Executive Board. You may join more than one RW club, but only you may only designate one as your Primary.

Associate Member

 

A registered Republican woman who’s already a Primary Member of one of the other NJ Federation of Republican Women local groups may join ECNJRW as an Associate Member.  Associate Members are welcome to attend any of our events, but cannot vote in ECNJRW Executive Board elections.

Associate


A registered Republican man who wishes to support ECNJRW may join us as an Associate (whether you live in Essex County or not).  As an Associate, they support the ECNJRW mission by receiving our mailings, are welcome to attend any of our events, but cannot vote in ECNJRW Executive Board elections.

Not yet registered as a Republican?

At least 55 days before an election, use the Party Affiliation Form 
to print out, complete and snail mail it off to:  Superintendent of Elections

Alternatively, you can also file it in person by dropping it off there in Newark
OR at your town clerk's office.

Pay by check:

Print out and complete the Membership Application and submit payment of $50 for an annual membership (for all member types).

Our year runs from January 1 to December 31 of each year. You may hand it in at the door to one of our events or drop it in the mail to:
Essex County NJ Republican Women ECNJRW, P.O. Box 16, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. Please make checks payable to: ECNJRW.

Note:  We don't prorate our membership dues by the month you join, so one paid year of membership runs Jan 1 to Dec 31. For example, if you join January - September of 2026, you pay $50 for the rest of 2026.  But if you join after October 1, you get the next three months PLUS the following whole year of membership.  Whenever you join us and get involved, there is no bad time to bump up your civic engagement!  Let's DO this.
